Illustratrice / Peintre
Daya Wyrd
Daya is an illustrator who works primarily in the world of fantasy and children's illustration. Her main influences are video games.
In 2008, she made her debut in comic book coloring. She was then hired as lead artist on her first series of digital games based on the famous choose-your-own-adventure books “Fabled Lands – The War-Torn Kingdom” written by Dave Morris and Jamie Thomson.
At the same time, Daya created her first children's book, “Akumagic,” which became one of the top five most downloaded stories in France on the App Store for Christmas. The following year, she became a graphic arts educator in a workshop specializing in laser engraving for over a year in order to broaden her horizons, but later returned to more digital techniques and continued to work freelance for several clients (Tekneo, Musée du quai Branly, Megara, and notably Mr Nutz Studio, a studio with which she has been working for several years under the direction of Philippe Dessoly).
She currently continues to work on children's stories and video games. Her work can be seen in Astérix Slap them all I and II, Joe and Mac, and the recently released Grendizer Ufo Robot.
